Day 86 - Perfect 10

Today is the day I update on my Perfect 10 goals. I actually have made a calendar to keep track of everything I am doing. Such a nerd I know. It is all part of being more organized though.

* Work out at least 6 days a week... Well I started this on Tues. and skipped Thursday because I moved like an 80 year old but I am back on track today!

* Do 30 push ups a day & sit up's (yes they will be girly push ups)... No issue here. I am good to go except Thursday which I had planned on doing so I need to get these done earlier.

* Eat fruit & veggies everyday...I think I have more fruits and veggies now then ever in my life. I eat a banana with breakfast every morning and a salad with dinner!

* Drink at least 48oz. of WATER a day. In the winter I find it hard to drink enough water...This is hard for me because it is so cold out and I don't want to drink but I have hit the goal. I allow myself no other drink until I have drank all 48oz of water. So far so good!

*Workout twice a day. Since the videos are not pushing me enough I think that I need to do two different ones twice a day. This will be a good way to push me...I worked out twice a day on Tues, Wed. & today.

One fact that some of you may not know about me is I have never seen my father with two arms. Not even in pictures. I have no clue what it is like to have a father that little kids are scared of or stare at.

I am glad I took a brake yesterday from working out like Chris told me to. I felt like I was able to give my all today. My right leg still hurts but not as bad. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Day 85- Weigh In

Today is the first weigh in of the New Year. The day to see if I had done any more damage with the holidays. I only started working out on Tuesday and before breakfast. Tuesday was the first day I decided to put my plan of working out twice a day in play and Tuesday was the first day that I thought drinking 48oz of water a day was a good idea. Well I have done that for 2 days in a row it is hard. When I am cold I am not thirsty. Enough about that though I am sure you are dying to know what the scale said right?? I am pretty sure this cute little penguin says it all.

I lost 4.2 pounds. Yup I got on the scale and off twice. It said the same number and I decided not to press my luck so I am taking it. I mean if you get that number twice it has to be right, right? That means that I have lost a total of 20.1 pounds and I have 33.9 to go.

I was looking back at what I weighed in at my highest weight ever. How the hell I ever got that high or the fact that not one person asked me what my problem was amazes me. I wish someone would of said something sooner but I did this myself and there is no one to blame but me. It's not like I never saw my reflection in some mirror somewhere. I really don't think it is impossible not to know what you are doing to yourself. Anyways I have lost 32.1 pounds total. It amazes me that my husband found me sexy then and sexy now. Hello I am 32 pounds lighter.

Marcelle asked me if I had any pictures of me at my highest and honestly I have avoided the camera at cost. As much as I wanted to be in the picture, have the memories I knew I was better off taking the picture. I wanted no proof of any kind that I had let myself go. Well I dug deep and found these on my computer. Both have to do with Chris and is probably the only reason I was talked into such nonsense.

This one was in Feb. 2008 so I know it was my highest weight ever because I joined Weight Watchers the next month.

This one is Dec. 2007. The day my husband came home after a 15 month deployment. The reason my eyes where so red. A lot of crying well waiting for the speech to end so I could hug my hubby.

Now this one was before I got pregnant. I weighed in during the 2 to 3 month of pregnancy at 120 so I figure that's what I weighed in this picture. I would love to weigh that again.

After messing with the BMI calculators though 120 is considered under weight. I think the lowest that I can go and still be healthy is 130.Not sure what my husband would say about that one. We will have to see.

Day 84- Finding a Heart Rate Monitor

I am not going to review every day of the 30 Day Shred. Maybe weekly or something but today I did wake up SORE. This is the first video I have done and woke up sore. The only other time I was sore was when I went to visit Marcelle and she put me on the treadmill and controlled it for me! She so needs to be a personal trainer. Anyways I hurt but I did it today and my second video as well.

Now I need a little help. I am trying to figure out which Heart Rate Monitor to get. So far I am looking at these.

Day 83/Day 1 of The Shred

Today was the first day I decided to try the 30 Day Shred. Holy Crap. My knees hurt and my arms are still shaking. This workout kicked my butt but it felt good. I would be lying if I said I can't wait to do it again but I can wait because it is the longest 20 minutes of my life. I will do it again & again & again. I am thinking that doing it with 5 lb. weights isn't the smartest idea when I broke & sprained both wrists but those are the only weights I have. I think if you do this video without stopping & move as fast as she does that you might see some good results. Only time will tell.

I had Chris measure me today so I can see where I stand after this is over. I also have decided that I will do the 30 Day Shred before breakfast then I will do another video before lunch. That way if Rachelle wants me to do the hip hop video with her then I am free and will get in even more activity. It's all about moving a lot more this year.

I made a Weight Watchers friendly meal tonight. It was Spicy Shrimp Fried Rice. I think I made it too spicy for Chelle but Chris and I loved it. I also did my Walk & Run video today. Drank the 48oz. of water. That was a hard one for me. When it is cold outside drinking is not easy but I did it! Day one down of that.

One thing that has really been on my mind is sagging skin. I am so worried about that. I mean I have stretched my skin further then it ever needed to be stretched. I am wondering if anyone has suggestions on exercise that I need to be doing now so that I can attempt to prevent it. If that is even possible. I am so worried about it. I do expect some but if there is anything that I can do to try and tighten it up I would love to know. I know slow and steady weight loss is one so I have that one down believe me. I am hoping the 30 Day Shred video might help also.

Day 82

Yesterday was a really good day eating wise. I am getting back on track after the emotional start to the New Year. The death really hit me harder then I thought and it's more on a level of praying that nothing in the world is to hard for my daughter or make her feel like she can't come to us.

Last night for dinner I made salmon & a salad. I told Rachelle that she was going to start eating a salad every night for dinner with us. She had a fit but in the end ate it.

The salmon was baked with spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes and a dressing. It was really good! I had my yogurt with banana & oats for breakfast & a ham sandwich for lunch.

I am feeling really good. It's hard to explain. I have never had this feeling before and it gets me all excited. I really feel like this is it.This is going to be my year to make the changes that I can live with and that will work.

As I made dinner tonight I got really dizzy & feel weak. I have no clue why but me head is spinning and i feel blah. I really had more to write but I am going to cut this short. Chris thinks I might be dehydrated so I am going to drink my water and lay down.

Day 81- Perfect 10

Well still not feeling like myself. My eating is all over the place. Exercise is missing but once again God is taking control and making it snow so I have to get some sort of exercise. Today is my last day to shovel for 2 weeks and watch it not snow the next two weeks. That will be my luck and the neighbors. I am starting to think I should just do the video's. They would be so much easier. I guess I will eat lunch & go shovel.

Yup I thought living on the corner lot was bad in the states but this brick is driving me nuts. It takes me an average of 40 min. to clean this and as I write this it is snowing hard again so something tells me I will be out there again later tonight. I also have to do the front of the building where everyone walks. The joys of Germany living!

I am trying really hard to ignore all cravings and get back on track. I pulled salmon out for dinner tonight. I am going to try I new recipe. I want to try and eat even healthier. Salads with dinner every night. More fresh foods. I would like to get to the point that fast food does not taste good. I have gotten to the point that boxed food is nasty and I would rather not even eat it.

Diane had asked me to join her in The Perfect 10 from South Beach Steve so I have decided to. It's about setting goals for the next ten weeks. My goals are as follows.

* Work out at least 6 days a week.
* Do 30 push ups a day & sit up's (yes they will be girly push ups)
* Eat fruit & veggies everyday
* Drink at least 48oz. of WATER a day. In the winter I find it hard to drink enough water.
*Workout twice a day. Since the videos are not pushing me enough I think that I need to do two different ones twice a day. This will be a good way to push me.

These will be my goals for the next 10 weeks!

Day 79 & 80- Not the New Year Start I Wanted

I had such high hopes for the New Year. I was going to do my new video The 30 day Shred, take measurements, weigh myself and so on. I was ready to start 2010 off right.

Well needless to say that did not happen. I went with Chris to this guys house up the street for New Years Eve. It was just us, another guy and the couple that lived there. Well the drinking games came out and the shots followed and to be honest I can't remember how many shots I did after the 5th one. They brought out chips and dip but I had no problem avoiding those. Plan one down the drain of not eating. It was just so nice to get out of the house. Besides going to Marcelle's for the couple days that is all I have done since I got here in July.

A couple hours before we left the house though I was told by my mother that my cousins step daughter committed suicide. She was 14.That hit me hard. More the fact that I have a 10 yr. old daughter. Judy was only 4 yrs. older. How did no one know what was wrong. Makes me worry about the signs I could miss. Children are no longer children now a days. They have to grow up way to fast and it is to much for them. I had a nice talk with Marcelle about it yesterday though and that helped a lot.

Yesterday I also started the New Year with my period. The one that has been missing for 20 something days. It came with a bang. I did nothing yesterday besides lie on the coach. It hurts so bad every time I move. It seems when I miss one the next one takes everything out of me. I also hate to admit but I ate a lot of cheese. I was craving cheese.

I had no exercise yesterday and hurt really bad today but I had to get up and shovel. Chris wasn't going to be home until after 10 this morning and I knew I couldn't wait that long. So I shoveled and that is going to have to count as my workout today.

So I learned that even though we make plans they get tossed aside. I told my husband if how the year started has anything to do with the rest of 2010 I am not looking forward to it. I know that shouldn't be my attitude but let me wallow around right now. I know its a mix of my hormones and the first death in the family that I can't be there for. I will be better in a couple days and ready to tackle 2010 how it should be done but right now I just want to go home.
